Does anyone make any decant 1:32 racing car drivers? Ive got the Airfix Ford Focus WRC and id like to make a small diorama but empty cars look silly.

I got a couple of Scalextric ones, £1.75 each plus postage. Ready painted, different coloured helmets available.

I don't know if it's ever been done, would Airfix to produce a box of 1/32 scale drivers and passengers to compliment their car series. they would have to be multipose of course, so they could fit the different seats and footwell space. drivers and passengers in modern civilian clothing. would anyone buy such a box, I would.

I seem to recall Tamiya producing Racing Figures but no doubt they will be 1:35th.

Tamiya does Rally Crew [two figures] in 1/24 and Fujimi do a Drivers set and a Mechanics set, both in 1/24th.
Right now the best for drivers, and possible passengers are from the Scalextric range.

unless you buy one of the army 1:32 multipose sets and adapt them to suit a racing driver look.

I guess the multipose figure might be a good starting point.
For some alternate ideas I tried to produce 1/32 drivers have a look at this and subsequent posts in my WIP

The results can be seen here

Hope this is of some help

I'm in the process of trying to fashion a decent pair of figures for my 1/32 Model T.....Some suitably generic multipose figures would be a godsend!

This could be a good opportunity for a cottage industry resin manufacturer.

Airfix did produce (unpainted)1/32 racing figures as part of the MRRC range back in the 1960's.
Another option are the Scalextric figures (which came painted).

You might be lucky and find some on Ebay.

That's more or less what I'm using at the moment:

They aren't altogether pleasant to work with, somewhere between vinyl and soft resin, you can sort of sand it and it will probably take CA.....I hope!

From China there are available copies of Prieser figures, usually listed as 1/30th. Some seem to be a bit bigger, some are closer to 1/32. They are meant to be railway passengers and most sets are of standing people with a few seated ones, occasionally sets come along which are just seated people. Price, from China, is about £1.50 per 10 figures, going up to about £5 for two sold by UK sellers. The figs aren't great but they may yield useful body parts for alterations.
I'll post up a piccy of some later.

I've seen them on eBay, reviews show them to be a bit blobby as they haven't been cast with any real care.

Good quality 1/32 generic figures similar to the multipose range really would have wide appeal IMHO.....Ground crew for 1/32 aircraft, drivers and passengers for cars etc. etc.
