I have had this kit for a while and am puzzled as to where one missing part went. It is an antenna for the right chin, part 137 and its so puzzling because I can't find a sprue with its number on it. I have found antenna 125 which is its mate on the left chin. Maybe the part was never in the kit? Anyone else share this oddity? Also what other subtypes can be made from this kit? Seems to have a lot of extra parts. Looks like a rather nicely done kit. Thank You---John _________________ When the going gets tough, switch to power tools. |

John
If i think it the part i think it is, the ASI, then you dont need it as there was only one on the port side.

08006 is the B.I Special or Grand Slam Lanc, so yes there are quite a few bits left over.
I believe some of these had two pitot tubes LL and the additional is included on the extra sprue containing the bomb and shackle. _________________ Bubbly! |

Thanks to all for the information. I have checked my kit 4 times, EVERY sprue and only one pitot tube. At several build sites on the web I have seen Tamiya builds with only the left pitot tube, none on the right, guess that particular model only had the one---John _________________ When the going gets tough, switch to power tools. |

Yes I will post as soon as I start, but first I need to finish my ancient Matchbox Lancaster to be done as No. 9 Squadron WSY used on Tirpitz attacks.I am using Sky decals. I am also torn as to start the Airfix kit or the new mold Revell Germany Dambuster. The detailing on this new kit is light years ahead of the old 60's Revell Dambuster.---John _________________ When the going gets tough, switch to power tools. |

Me thinks the man has a thing for Mr. Chadwicks 'Magnum Opus'. Which is perfectly understandable. _________________ Bubbly! |
