Yes please, if it's either of the torpedo boats.

Voted; Would prefer MTB or S boat.

Is this poll open to everyone on the ATF?
I see 15 votes but only 5 voters have posted so I hope the results don't get skewed by just votes of interest rather than real intent.

That has happened before Fred, but we can't find a way around it :(
We could ask folks to sign up before the dates are finalised, but the dates may force some to drop out, so its swings and roundabouts :juggle: Some sign up with the best of intentions only for circumstances to conspire against them

Yes. I understand, tis hard to find an answer.
I suppose on this vote it doesn't really matter, but maybe on the actual 2 month dates it could be restricted to those who really intend to take part, ie sign up.
It might be taking it too far, if before the actual date poll, potential builders are asked to post their preferred start month[?] Then these preferences taken into account for the actual dates.
Just thinking in writing.

No worries Fred 8-) The good thing is that there is an interest
Maybe folks have considered the Anniversary GB coming up in April

To make the post to vote count a little closer ...
I had voted, because I like the idea of a GB to push me to make one of my floaty-boats.
I am the only one who said "later then 6 months" currently, as while I want to join, but not really yet as I'm trying to get lots of other stuff out the way first, and 6 months would suit much more then within 3

I also voted but hadn't posted. I have the kit ready and rearing but put myself in the 'within six months' bracket as due to personal reasons my immediate future looks very busy. I didn't post here before as I didn't really have anything to say on why I voted for when I did. I am committed to the GB and I think it's a bit ridiculous to say that those who are voting and not posting are trying to skew the vote with no intention to join.

I voted for the within 6 months too, trying to strictly limit myself to one GB at a time at the moment then perhaps I'll stop adding to the trail of unfinished builds in my wake!

I don't mind whether it's a torpedo boats only build or all 1/72 ships, I have both torpedo boats, though the RAF Rescue boat has been tempting me in the LMS for a while (now that I say that they'll have sold it this weekend...)

I also opted for six months and no doubt like others did not post as I didn't really have anything to say on why I voted for when I did. The actual subject of the build will be the clincher, still have my last E-boat to finsh off. I'd be interested in a MGB/MTB build or any 1/72nd.

I'm another who voted without posting. I voted for six months as I'm already committed to two GBs and haven't started the railway one yet while trying to keep up with the Harrier.

I've got a Vosper to build.

OK, the poll has concluded and there seems to be a good level of interest. I'll be asking fred if he wants to the Group Build leader, since he was the first to suggest the idea.

Fred has accepted the invitation. He should be soon sorting out the start date poll.

Before I post up a poll to narrow down the start date does anyone want to shout out any preference of which month to start the GB in?
I'd like to narrow the choice down to just three.

I am in for this- my first group build!. I think the build should include all four airfix kits for a bit of variety. single subject ships become a bit monotonous as due to the small numbers of each type built there is little variety in colour schemes, type variations etc. a late start date would help. Regards, Walter.
