Hi Folks,

I finished my AEC R6T 859 Gun Tractor and 3 " HAA Gun and here it is as it would have appeared in mid 1939 on Salisbury Plain wearing the pre-war Deep Bronze Green #24 and marked up for the 15th HAA Battery. There is no photo evidence of the R6T Gun Tractor in France in 1940 but anecdotal evidence indicates that a number were in action towing the 3" AA Gun. For that reason, I elected to finish it in the DBG finish and depict it in pre-war England.
The gun tractor is the Bull Models offering who also have the R6T Recovery version which is known to be in France with the BEF as a number of photos exist. The 3" AA Gun is a recent offering from Milicast and both were basically built OOB with some minor additions.

Hope you like them.

Cheers,

Neil

Superb Neil. Is the gun the one you mastered yourself?

Thanks, Mike and yes that is the one I did the master for. It's not for the faint of heart as it has lots of little parts but makes up into a decent model I think.

Cheers,

Neil

Quite exceptional work, especially considering the small scale. The artisic quality of the painting brings these models to life.

Thanks, Stu....the gun did work out well I think and Bull's R6T is an excellent model to put together. It makes a nice combination in the pre-war finish.

Cheers,

Neil

Many thanks Alan. It's been awhile since I did that one and have the R6T Recovery with a Taskers trailer also from Bull in my stash to do.

Cheers,

Neil
