I'm building the 1/24 BF109 for the Messerschmitt group build but the kit is missing the rubber tyres and the sprue with the transparencies.

I've emailed the Airfix spares department but they are asking for the traceability code which should be on a white sticker on the back of the box. Since it's an older boxing my kit doesn't have the sticker.

Does anyone have a new boxing? And could let me know what the code is?

Thanks in advance.

Depending on which version you're building, I might be able to help out with transparencies. I think that you get a full set of canopy parts for both versions. I could be wrong. Regardless, it might be worth your while to check out Squadron.com for the canopy.

I'm afraid I disposed of my box at the weekend :fear: I read somewhere they only honour spares on kits bought in the last couple of years anyway

I would imagine that what they are asking for is like a packing slip with a printed code on it, whereby they can identify who checked that all the parts were present. If you have the code they will replace the parts (if they have them) for free, but as yours is an older boxing (from the mid 80s) they will charge you for the parts they can supply :(
I'm afraid this is just a reflexion of how generous Airfix were in providing replacement parts and the reality of how many of us ask for parts missing from kits that were produced well before Hornby took up the mantle of the Airfix name

Makes me wonder whether Airfix have another angle on the amount of 'spares' being offered for sale on ebay (as well as the amount of kits being sold without boxes, dodgy decals and photocopied instructions)

I initially thought someone was buying and splitting kits, but...

Thanks for the advice so far guys. I've had a look at some of my new boxes. They all have a white sticker on the back with a code in the format

MIC07 P######
Product code ## ###

Have seen kits split for parts ....both plastic kits and drum kits ....
Anyway despite the prices sometime can be usefull if your just missing that OOP part :!:

True.... But it does seem slightly dodgy.

More dodgy though is the bit you left out.... The amount of kits being sold without boxes, and with dodgy decals and photocopied instructions...
