It is now three months since the draw took place for the ATF Charity Raffle 2006. I have now finalised the dates for the 2007 ATF Charity Raffle.

Saturday 6th January - Saturday 10th February 2007
Nominations for charities are to be submitted.

Sunday 11th February - Sunday 25th February 2007
Polling for the chosen charities will take place

Thursday 1st March 2007 Onwards
Prizes and pledges will be gratefully accepted

Monday 9th April 2007
Ticket sales commence

Monday 2nd July 2007
The draw will take place

Last year, the choice of the RNLI was mine. But all future charities will be chosen by forum members. Whilst I do appreciate how much importance members feel about their own choice of charities, I would ask that they wait until the dates shown in the timetable before nominating them. If we were to raise anything like the same amount as last year, then it would be nice to spread it out between a few charities in 2007. The largest share will be going to a non-UK charity this time (or an International one such as Red Cross). Anyway, more discussions about these in the New Year when the procedures for choosing the charity(ies) will be published.

Hopefully, the next raffle will be even more successful and that we can raise £500 at the very least. The last raffle was remarkably free of glitches and I don't expect to make any changes in the procedures. There was a problem after the draw with some winners experienced/still experiencing delays in getting their prizes weeks/months after the draw had taken place. Although this was beyond my personal control, I will try and make sure that this won't happen next time. And talking of next time, I'm going to enter it myself, unlike last year when I remained "neutral"!

Anyway, any non-timetable issues can be discussed in more detail in other threads nearer the time. This thread will concentrate on the timetable.

This thread is now obsolete due to the cancelling of the 2007 raffle.
