I shall be building the Airfix 07112 1:48 de Havilland Mosquito B Mk XVI/PR XVI, with a little twist    Mine will be as “GREEK” s/n NS725 ‘F’ of the 858th Squadron, USAAF, based at Harrington, 19 March 1945. These flew 'Red Stocking' missions. A third crew member was carried in the bomb bay, which was especially fitted out with an oxygen system and a device known as a 'Joan-Eleanor'. This was a specially designed radio set. 36 'Red Stockings' were flown for the loss of one aircraft; the Mosquito flew at 30,000 ft. contacting an agent on the ground in occupied territory.

I'm not sure what colour to paint the interior of the Mossie    I suppose they would normally be interior green/grey, but I'm wondering whether this would be painted black, due to the night-time/secret operations undertaken

I thought I'd lost one of the arm-rests to the Carpet Monster    but sorting through the box I discovered I was mistaken
So, time to get back on course with this one
I am trying to think outside my box or current comfort zone in the way I approach this build, trying out Tamiya acrylics alongside Citadel/Games Workshop inks and Humbrol enamels. I am also experimenting with the use of crayons, charcoals and coloured pencils.
Looking through my references I've found an illustration of Colonel Oliver Taylor (CO of the 14th FG, Italy, spring 1944) wearing a very similar uniform to the moulded crew figures. I shall use this as my guide

Ratch, Mossie interiors are interior green. I would be surprised if they were re-painted as Mossies were unlikely to be coned by searchlights, even if they were they would soon give them the slip.

That is a very funky and more than slightly unconventional scheme for a Mossie!

All the best
