I will make a start today - I'm late with this one because we've been away, and I'm looking forward to getting back into it!

Here's the box:

The decals - either the US Marines or American Airlines:

And finally the sprues:

I'll make a start when I've finished fighting with photobucket!

I think I'll do the civil version, especially as I've now painted the pilots!

I've made some good progress this weekend, although mine won't be together for a little while yet.

I've been mainly painting the buts and bobs for this one.

I should be able to start building the interior next time I sit down with this one.

I'll be following this build with considerable interest as I have one of these fellows in the stash and I'm more than faintly frightened by all the corrugations!

If you don't end up using them, could I possibly scrounge your Marine Corps decals (and a copy of the colour callout thingy), as these were not an option in my kit?

TIA & All the best

Sarge, no probs, I'll sort out the decals when it's done and send you the colour chart too, once I'm done with it.  Can you PM me your address please.

I'll let you know how it goes with the corrugations!

Well, I've made quite a bit of progress on this one.

The fuselage is together:

as are the wings:

That was this morning.  Since then I've got the wings on so it's looking like a complete aircraft now!

Well, I've got the engines built and the main landing gear on, so it's now ready for priming.

I'll put the third engine on once it's painted.

I have been making (slow) progress with this!

It's been primed with two coats of H64 and I've also painted the black details, as I thought it would be easier this way round.

It's all been done freehand, as I've always found it difficult to tape curves!

Next step is to paint the rest of it silver.

I'm still hoping to get this one finished before the end of the GB!

I've put the first coat of silver on it this evening.  When the paint's dry I'll see if it needs a second.

The only problem with paining the corrugations is that I've had to go along them all the time to get the paint between them.
