I dug out the Airfix 1/600 Tirpitz and have decided to make this my second model for this GB
With minimal research, I've found two schemes I find attractive G & I
http://www.bismarck-class.dk/tirp...t_schemes/paint_tirpitz_1942.html
Are these appropriate for the Airfix offering

I've just located and cemented together hull sides (1 & 2) applying cement to the inside of the hull
I just love these instructions

How about we ask Joanna Lumley to lead a campaign to bring back proper instructions?

I have no personal knowledge of the details but given that the kit was apparently first made as the Bismarck and that it has been slated for its accuracy, my guess would be that the answer is 'yes' as long as you don't wish to go for Remy's level of accuracy!

Great old boxing too!   Go on, give PE another go!

I'm looking forward to following this one.

Thirded.....it's a pity she doesn't come in kit form.

I'm abit miffed with Airfix instructions at the minuit as the ones for the Chinook are shall we say "problematic" and I'v just started on the Boston III and the instructions for that are even worse.

Why? What's wrong with them?  Nailbiting

Great start, Ratch.

How different are the Tirpitz from the Bismarck kit, regarding the parts?

Thanks Jesper
They're almost identical
Its been a long time since I built Bismarck, but IIRC Tirpitz has additional torpedo tubes
I'm sure one of the matelots will correct me
