It appears that an Aircraft Carrier Group Build is a popular choice but which sort will we have - and when? Please cast your vote now.

The poll will last for fourteen days.

I would like to take part in a USS Forestall Build in 6 Months time, or later.

I've gone for a General Flat-top Build in more than six months
I don't want to do another Ark and Forrestal is too modern for me I'd be prepared to wait to make my Victorious

I voted for a general carrier build in six months or more.

Does the 'Moskva' count as an aircraft carrier? I have an original boxing of 'Victorious' and I'm not sure if I should keep it for a while and get a new one if Airfix do the right thing a re-release it.

I've done the 'Ark' and 'Forrestal' -which is a great kit, alot of work on the aircraft but well worth it.

Moskva is a carrier and can be counted too. I would be inclined to keep the HMS Victorious as a collectable and build a re-issue - if it appears.....

What's happening with this one? With three people wanting to do a generic build six months on from the poll, should we be looking at sorting out a start date?

I've got a Hasegawa 1/700 Kaga with photoetch I could be persuaded to start on. I've also got the Miyukikai plans of it in 1/200 scale.

The quality achievable from this relatively elderly kit is astonishing if you're prepared to put the time in. This guy in Japan masked off the deck planking and airbrushed it 10 different shades of wood colour. Even he admitted that was maybe going a bit over the top.

Peruse and be astounded, gentlemen.

Only Airfix kits are allowed in Group Builds I'm afraid.  You could always do it as a demo-build though
