Here's an Airfix 1/600 Graf Spee I did a couple years ago. Added railings and rigging, a prop for the Arado, funnel cap grill, antenna around the bridge tower and drilled out port hole. Looks pretty good in a display case.

Bigger photos please!  :)

Looks very nice though - makes me wonder about changing my mind on what to build for the forthcoming Kriegsmarine GB.

I'm having problems with photo size for some reason. I can't get them to load into photo bucket any larger and it won't let me make them any larger. However, when I select the photo, I can enlarge it to fill me screen and its crystal clear. I'm working on it but any suggestions would be appreciated.

I don't know I'm afraid Ron.  I remember seeing something about upload file dimensions when I first joined Photobucket but I can't find it now.

Sorry.

Here's my take on the Graf Spee. I didn't go for accuracy. Just went for something that looked nice.

Ayup Spud...

Lovely Spee !

Did you use WE etch for the railings?

I'd love to pick one up as all I can ever find are the Revell ones...

Yeah, I used left over WE railings from other builds. I actually bought this kit several years ago from Ebay. It wasn't until earlier this month when I decided to build it.

Very nice pair of Spees there. I tend to replace the over thick masts with brass wire soldered or superglued.
cheers Stuart 8-)
