Shame about the out-of-register decal on the upper port wing  What did you use for the white and how was it applied :?:

It is let down by the decals. Asides from that its a good build. Was it airbrushed?

That light edge could be the white trap bleeding through, or it could also be the varnish silvering.

That's good work though Dutch, especially the painting of the canopy framing and the other clear parts. Neat assembly and painting.

The white areas are excellent for a hand-brush application :o :D

Here's mine. It's a partial rebuild.

The glue had gone on many of the joints and the main undercarriage had broken beyond reasonable repair so I filled the holes and produced this.
You can't see it properly but there is a scratchbuilt Leigh Light under the starboard wing.

Edit: 11 Jan 2013
Whilst working on the Coastal Command GB I revisited this, improved the beaching gear and corrected the Leigh Light position.
That required the removal of the starboard depth charge racks.

Here are some updated shots:

Replaced float retraction mechanism:

I am sneezing with the dust from some of the stuff I have been putting on the site recently. This one  is the usual, i.e. it is several decades old from when the kit was first released.

I find photographing big models to be especially difficult as I don't have a supply of big photo backgrounds. It means that some compromises have to be made. This 'flying' background, for example, is a composite of two totally separate images that happened to be on facing pages. It's a case of 'spot the join' and spot what has been completely airbrushed out.

The model itself is the standard Airfix  issue with standard decals (transfers, markings or sliding parts) that has been made to a far better standard by others. I'm aiming for mood.

Not Dover - not even I would manage to remove the Straits of Dover from the photo in spite of its maritime content. Not Leeds either -  but good guess. The photo, however, is in Kent. The more confusing bit is that the left hand side of the photo is nowhere near the right hand side and indeed, is in a different county. It also contained a castle but I had to blot it out in a move of which Cromwell would have been proud (Oliver, not the tank).

Yes, but it still isn't Leeds. We could end up off topic if we head any further down 'Down your way'. You are allowed one more try. Getting the name of the town on the left would be hitting the jackpot, though it is nowhere near the castle on the right. The main bit of the photo I enjoyed doing was in tucking the wheel into the wheel well as the model was built with u/c down.

Bodiam - spot on. The town on the bottom left is Arundel. The area of trees behind it is where Arundel castle ought to be, but I could not have two big castles so close, so I took a leaf out of Macbeth and moved the forest a bit closer to the castle, in fact, I obliterated the castle. An aircaft in focus against a blurred background seemed fair game to me.

Ayup Gerry...

Thanks for the Easter Egg hunt...

Maybe a giant ATF one in future may be a good thing to do !
