I love the one with the forward swept wings.

Lovely Leuchars Target Facilities Flight Lightning there, Thomas.  8-)
I have an old AIRFIX F1A kit in my stash & also have a ModelDecal sheet tucked away with those markings on it. You've given me some incentive.
By the way, who produced the ladder, HOUCHIN 200 Kva gennie & the oxy. bottle trolley ? I'd love some of those to display with some of my RAF jet kits.

The Ladder is from a Corgi Lightning FMk1 and the Nitrogen Trolley and Houchin are from BW Models who post in our traders section. They have a huge range - over 300 white metal kits.

I just loved browsing through these photos. I'm quite new to the Airfix Tribute Forum and you have rekindled a love of model aircraft that I have not had for many years.
I've built a Hurricane about 2 years ago, but that was bought for me as a joke by one of my daughters - it's a long story from my RAF days - and she also recently bought me a Harrier in memory of their passing.

Thanks again for the pics, I think my first models have to be the Vulcan (I'm involved in the XH558 club), the lightning (because it was always one of my favourites), the Nimrod (see http://raf-luqa.weebly.com and you'll understand why) and the Hunter simply because it was one of the most beautiful fighter aircraft ever designed.
Lots of aircraft photos, not models unfortunately, at the Luqa link above and at http://raf-masirah.weebly.com

Ayup All...

I gave up the chance to buy one at £8 at MK today... but it went to a worthy Buyer... My Mate Ratch.

As silly money was being asked for for some Kits (£16 for an original Airfix Gloster Javelin T3 for example and six for a 24th Suzuki 500 Gamma) I thought it was the trader making his prices up out of the top of his Ar.. Head !

But Never mind...

A lot of nice models in this thread.  Here's my contribution, slapped together for the Lighting Group Build.

The right wing snapped off while I was using a little too much torque trying to apply a decal to the left wing and when I reattached it the wing root turned out a little below standard.  Here, then, is my shameful secret revealed to all the world.

(Just think how many more Google hits we'll get with THAT line!)

A great looking Lightning.
PS
I tried 'shameful secret' in a Google search and can report that although some interesting entries did appear, e.g. a film, a Mills and Boon book, luxury underwear and Ayers Rock, there was no mention of dancho's Lightning. I did not progress beyond the first screen.
