This is my bash,not to sure about the colour it's a bit dark when I started it and thought it might dry lighter bit it didn't.

I wouldn't say it was that bad,it was my first boat build aswell(as you can tell).Took me a morning to build and paint.I will be building another one :)

Depends how you build it.....OOTB it doesn't look terribly daunting, but if you want to make it a bit more accurate:

I believe the builds pictured above are mostly OOTB, so as you can see it looks pretty good!  8-)

My version of the Higgins boat.Rigging the door wire was a pain but i think it was worth the effort.The crew were not that great so i left them out.

Nice, but I thought these boats were made of plywood and wouldn't rust  :shrug:

Yes they were made of plywood i belive,this was then covered with sheet steel.Certainly the metal fittings would rust and stain anything it came into contact with.
