This is Paula's build, now a bit dusty, of the Herc from the version that is a re-pop of the Italeri kit:

Very nice indeed, especially like the 50th Anniversary colour scheme.

Hmmm, there was me thinking I'd already posted 'Snoopy' - but no! This is a pretty heavy conversion of the Airfix Hercules to RAF Hercules W.2 standard. It's still the same base kit - the Airfix issue of the Italeri C-130.

Splendid looking model. If they ever stop using it as a weather station, they could use it as a mobile hairdresser's (unless they already have).

Odd looking beast, but a super conversion and striking colour scheme.

XV208 is no longer the aircraft used by the Met Office. They have a one-four-sick now that, I think, is based at Cranfield.

XV208 was taken to Marshall's of Cambridge a number of years ago, de-converted and then converted to be the engine testbed for the Airbus A400M powerplant. As far as I know, that's still how it is....

All very good but the snoopys my favorite! I plan on converting one of these old heroics to a MC-130 combat talon

All great looking builds, folks.  8-)  You've all done the real aircraft justice. Superb. :D
