The light grey mouldings are remarkably free of flash. Detail is a bit heavy on the exterior and the part numbers are not clearly depicted. The decals are out of register and the omission of interior painting instructions is disappointing.

There are quite a few options in the way this kit can be built and presented, so careful study of the instructions and general research is recommended before putting glue to plastic. The instructions are fairly clear, with one or two exceptions, but the warped fuselage made the assembly of mine a bit troublesome. The arrester hook and rear-firing machine gun, the working features, required cementing in place to ensure they were not lost. It seems strange that the underside of the cockpit is open on the torpedo version. Some filler was required on the upper seams on either side of the cockpit and around the air intake under the starboard wing.

Well done Ratch! Great build. I love the face on the torpedo!

What colour blue did you go for in the end? Looks pretty good to me.

Happy Christmas!

Thanks guys
Yes I'm quite pleased with it    For a 2-3 day build it hasn't turned out too bad
I used Hu: 144 in the end    doesn't look too bad, does it

It looks really good and excellent choice of Torpedo 8 markings with the face on the Torpedo.
And congratulations for being the first to finish, plenty of time to do another
