Being a builder of British (mostly) military jets in non military roles I was stuck for a build project for an impulse purchase of the Airfix DH Vampire trainer until recently, I read online a Met Office report of a T11 which in 1955 flew to Tromso (Norway) to take atmospheric samples, but that's it, I have no other details? So, anyone know of this aircraft??

Dave, nearly everything we talk about is to do with modelling, but not all posts belong in Modelling Chat, I have moved your post to the appropriate area

A quick Google search seems to indicate it might have been a T55 rather than a T11:

All down to what you search for I think - very often, more vague terms give better results, although you have to search through more irrelevant pages.

I think I searched for "Vampire Tromso".
