This model comes as a single piece moulded in white resin with brass etched window frames and acetate windowpanes. The red box carries a painting guide on the reverse, one Flying Hour and Airfix Club contact details. There is no additional paperwork inside the box. The moulding is protected with polystyrene foam blocks and suitably hollowed protection in the form of two halves for the exterior; zip-lock bags contain the windowpanes and frames, all inside a polybag. The resin is moulded in China with well-defined brick/stonework and roof tiles. The interior walls are plain and devoid of any detail, although there is two nicely defined broken floor sections with rafters below supporting floor boards. The ground floor may benefit from being filled with debris from bomb/shell damage. The stringcourses are well defined but there is no guttering evident. There are bay windows above the shop entrance and two utility extensions at the rear of the property.

Initial painting in progress

During the painting I noticed a few air pockets in the moulding of the brickwork    These are not too bad though, and could be taken for battle damage

And completed

Having picked out many bricks in differing shades/colours, my final touch was to rub a couple of pastels over certain areas to add more colour
More pix in the Gallery
