Looking at various Bloodhound pictures, it would appear that early ones were painted white and later ones were green
The latest dated white one I've seen is 1963 and the earliest green one is 1977    so when did the colour change

Whilst appreciating that the Land Rover is inaccurate, particularly in the radiator grille area, it appears to be based on an early model  Think
I've found pix of Bloodhounds in the early sixties in white/yellow and by the mid 70's in green, by which time (I suspect) you wouldn't see that Landie with it    Nearly all the Landie pix show it in green    is this right for an RAF vehicle, or should it be blue/grey  and again with the personnel's uniform, is RAF blue more likely or would the Erks be wearing green
Lots of questions.... any help appreciated

Yeah, the dogs are good. They've still got their tails for starters. Mine always broke off.

Painting and assembly continues, although not very speedily

I'm thinking of mounting them on a board in a sort of small diorama, utilising the two sections of boundary fence I bought at Duxford last year  Think  The Bloodhounds might be too close to the fence for scale realism, but I think it will give a nice appearance

That all looks very nice to me!

Could you use the fence sections to make an entrance with a checkpoint?  The dogs would be very suitable for that!

All the best

That was my original intention (although not with the Bloodhounds)    Another thought was to add one of those chequered caravans

Construction is just about complete    Airfix's working features make construction of the trailer and launch pad a bit fiddly    considering the fragility of these features, they hardly seem worth while    although they could be fixed into varied attitudes

I recently discovered just that while trying to make an 'All Action Bofors Gun'.....Fortunately one of our kind members supplied me with replacements for the parts that I totalled!

For what it's worth & all the best

At this stage there's a bit of touching up required to the paintwork

This is my flat field and fence concept

I found this vac-form and tried it for size

although I think this might be more suited to a pair of 88's or Bofors

I think you are right about the vacform base.....It looks more like a gun position to me too.

The BBDA (back blast danger area) when the bloodhound was launched would be interesting, hope the brick work is fire proof.
Though given the scale and with dioramas we often have take poetic licence I like the effect. Top effort.

I think this is about finished now

I've quite enjoyed this build, especially the deviation from my usual subject matter
