I've had time to start this evening - due to unforeseen circumstances I'll have to pick this up in a couple of weeks as I'm heading off to Scotland for a while (I was never told!!)
To start, here's the box top - classic 90's style with the flying hours on the front:
Two sprues moulded in white plastic, along with the body:
One sprue moulded in gunmetal:
Plus the transparencies, chrome parts and soft rubber tyres:
The decals look useable too, nothing out of the ordinary here.
I think I'll paint it to a custom spec - a vivid green with black bonet springs to mind

Construction started with a few basic components - the engine block and seats:
I've also skipped a couple of steps ahead to build the chassis as this all needs to be sprayed Black.

Great to see the 2CV as your choice, Owen.
I did the Heller version in 2006, and was really pleased with both the quality of the kit and the outcome.
I’m looking forward to see your progress.

Enjoy Arni.
Will you be using the seat decals as a pattern for the whole car??

Show off!
I'm afraid I really haven't had any time to continue this (or any other kits for that matter) recently
With a bit of luck I should get a bit of free time soon! _________________ Owen

I've had the time to get into the shed for the first time in at least a month today and this evening I finished assembling the engine block and chassis and have now primed these parts along with the body.
I'm thinking I'll spray this in a vivid green, possibly with an offset white stripe over the top of the body _________________ Owen

I've done a bit more on this recently, and things are nearing completion:
The body shell is sprayed in H131. I'm now in the process of putting the windows in. _________________ Owen

Cheers guys
A bit more work today - windows are in, and a test of the chassis/body fit:
All lines up well, so on with the headlights, bonet and detail parts:

Not sure Nige I'm tempted to go with a slightly darker green
I had thought about doing the body metal work in Gloss and the roof in Matt _________________ Owen
