Sprue shots. Plastic is a bit greasy, with a little flash. Still undecided on colour

Hi
Yes, I've been pottering about, cleaning up injector pin marks & flash, and attacking the pathetic blob that is supposed to be an engine with the Dremel. Still haven't decided on the colour scheme yet, but have a few ideas. I'll try and organize photos later, when there's something to show. |

In a word...slowly! . Camera is out of action at present, but I've made some progress. The engine is probably the worst I've seen, but the Dremel has been busy removing the oversize lump that's supposed to be the distributor. I've made a new one, and, despite severe arthritis in my right hand, I'm trying to make a coil. I've already made a replacement battery, as the one provided is tapered towards the top in both planes!
As you may have heard, we had severe flooding here on Friday. Fortunately, our cottage didn't get flooded, though the garden resembled a river!. Part of my garage flooded, so we spent Friday and yesterday sorting that out. I've lost a couple of boxes of "Classic American" magazines, but that's about all. Anyway, I'll be able to use the garage tomorrow for spraying the TR body.
( I think Arni had the right idea with the wreck....Perhaps I should just show the top of the roof as a car lost to the flood!!!) |

I am glad that you got away with the flooding Chris, lucky one there!
I hear you on the battery and engine,it must be the worst engine I have ever seen. You may have fun assembling the rear suspension, dry fit the wishbones in order to locate the diff then bob's your uncle-check my pics if need be.
I look forward to seeing what you do with this as it is a very pretty looking car.(shame about the kit LOL) _________________ Nigel.

| Still plodding on! The body is going back to the spray shop, as one side just bubbled up along the coachlines. I've just stripped it back, and will spray it again shortly. |

| Sorry for the delay, but I've not been able to do any modelling until recently. I've made a new coil and distributor, now working on the top hose and master cylinders, conspicuous by their absence! Strange that they modelled the twin downpipes and carbs, but didn't even put in a steering column. No wonder Arni's crashed! |

That engine bay looks brilliant Chris,I love the battery clamp you have made too!
Just one thing I noticed, the battery earth lead would either be bare braided metal or sheathed in black plastic.Easy to fix either way,I cant wait to see the body. _________________ Nigel.
