I've just received my first Airfix Club newsletter by e-mail!  Woohoo!

I won't divulge all of the details, as I'm sure that people will want to read their own, but it does contain a link to the downloadable catalogue, plus various other interesting snippets of news (cheap magazine subscriptions are coming back!).

For those of you who haven't had it, it might also be worth checking your junkmail folders. I had a mail from Martyn Weaver earlier today saying that they were having problems with the newsletters being swept up by over-eager filters.

Oooh - got it here, too. It was in my junk mail folder but Airfix sent an e-mail telling me that's where it was!

I got mine today too, and I only signed up with the club earlier this week. I think that the down loadable catalogue is for people who bought the down loadable club membership (which I did and is a bit cheaper) but I might be wrong.

I was surprised I got the link, as I bought the hardcopy membership, but I've just managed to download the PDF.

I had meant to tell you all yesterday that Club Members who get the hard copy of the catalogue will also get the downloadable copy too. Martyn said that it was easier to make it available to everybody. Unfortunately, my PC died yesterday preventing me from making a post about it and explains my less than usual activity on the forum! Anyway, this post proves that a replacement motherboard and processor and re-installation of Windows XP has just finished and seems to be working. :D

Don't worry STU you are not alone. I'm on aol and have had lots of problems with logging on to the Airfix site. Although I got Martyn Weaver's email about the newsletter i must admit that I don't expect to receive the newsletter. aol seems to block just about everything!

Ayup Fluff...

I have to say im checking my email on the works computer, via my boss's access ( :naughty: ), and i don't get the same screen logging in to my e-mail, as if i log on at home. I shall check again once i get home, and see how it goes.

Does anyone know how to mark Airfix's e-mails as ok? as i can't seem to work out how. Ta in advance. :D sorry to be a little off topic...

If you're using Outlook, highlight a message from Airfix, go into Actions->Junk E-mail and click on "Add Sender's Domain (@example.com) to Safe Senders List". Anything coming from airfix.com should not then be treated as junkmail.

This could be good - by the time someone has received half a dozen newsletters, Stu should be ready to explode

No newsletter, no catalogue download, just the email warning about the spam folder problem.

Why doesn't Airfix just make the newsletter downloadable from the members area of the website?

Ayup Marine...

Frustrating isn't it?

I'm glad that the others are enjoying the new stuff, but its the format that I paid for. I Don't know how long to wait before complaining. I'm just mulling it over, as i don't wanna 'jump the gun' and suddenly look like a moaning Minnie...

(and no, i don't NEED an answer!)

I'm sure it'll all come out in the wash... (stop mixing metaphors now.) Ed.
