Well, I've started! Just put together the undercarriage and stuck in the (as always) badly fitting doors.
My fuselage is decidedly bendy - nothing that the odd elastic band won't sort out. _________________ Cheers,

Hi Adrian
Welcome aboard, I'm not convinced that one elastic band will be enough but I look forward to the results!
Best

I decided that the cockpit looked terribly empty. Even though you won't see much of it, I've built up a flightdeck to put in. I based it on what Colin has posted of the 1/72 kit, plus some pics I found online. Not particularly detailed (or accurate!), but it'll fill the space a bit.

That looks very smart, definitely a better fit than the 1/72, well done!

Hands up all those who forgot to put the window transparencies in before fixing their scratch built cockpit interior...
Oh, that'll just be me then, will it?
They're in now, but it would have been a darn sight easier if I'd done it first! Wings are glued together too. _________________ Cheers,

Bit dark to take any at the mo. I'll take some tomorrow.
Fuselage is together, and awaiting a bit of sanding on the seams. I *hate* sanding! _________________ Cheers,

Here we go then.
As might have been expected, you can't really see any of the cockpit at all, even without the canopy on. Oh well
After taking the tape off the fuselage, I discovered a couple of places that hadn't stuck properly, so I've squeezed a bit more glue in and will have to wait for it to set before I can sand down the seams. That's my excuse anyway... _________________ Cheers,

Sorry, as might have been expected I've fallen behind with this.
I've been doing some odds & ends of filling & sanding, and the wings are now on - also not a particularly good fit, so I'm left with more gaps to plug. Have I got a particularly bendy example, or am I just really rubbish at modelling? _________________ Cheers,

I think the plastic is the problem here rather than the modeller!
It must be something peculiar about these kits, I would have happily launched mine from a high window a few days ago!
Good luck
