You been reading my mind?
I just got hold of that sheet too 'cos I fancied the Lizzie as my follow-up.
I look forward to seeing yours! _________________ Bubbly! |

Ok made a start on my first AC, the Lysander.
Heres is the formalities.
Painted the internals Hu78 and Hu33, pilots in hu96, 160 and 24 with the face 61.
Cockpit finished, fixed the wheel wells to the fuselage and cemented the two halves together.
Painted the underside with its first coat of black, whilst it was out painted the prop and fixed it into place. Wheels wells needed a bit of work to fit propertly but with a bit of persuasion and milliput they have finished up well.
Applied coats of Hu30 and 106 to the relevant areas.
Ive now just attached the glass to the fuselage awaiting it to dry before fixing the wings and touching up. She should be finished tomorrow as ive got a day off ready to start the next AC. _________________ Airfix Club Mem No:502611 |

How were the decals?
I'm always apprehensive with stripes. Is the white a good solid colour? _________________ Bubbly! |

Nope used the decals from the sheet, went on fine actually with no splitting. As a precaution could always add a cote of klear or decal solution if your worried. _________________ Airfix Club Mem No:502611 |

Ok sprue shot. Whats left of it.
Some bits painted up
Gluing the fuselage together held in place with some grips.
With a spray of white primer masked up the bits ready for the application of black pain for the stripes.
Decided that id pain the ac first with hu106 and 30 before the black stripes.
Nice new painted stipes
Masked up the wingtips for application of yellowing of the ends.
Now with yellow tips.
She is now ready for the sky band and a coat of klear before application of decals. _________________ Airfix Club Mem No:502611 |

That's fast work on the Tiffie, the paintwork looks very good!
