Measuring my brush against one of peebeep's excellent Scale Rules it would have been 12 inches wide in real life.

Whatever the size, it certainly looks as if I used a broom, which was my intention.

No, each is lovingly painted in Hu53, Acrylic, my camera isn't good at contrast.

Don't know if that is the correct colour, nor do I care much, looks good in the plastic though.

You are right about the low contrast.....The green looks grand though, is it Hu116?

PS - I often put a fairly thick wash of black over my exhausts before coating with Klear, this helps to make the detail stand out and some of it is soaked into the base-colour giving the impression of soot.

I just used what I had in my paintbox. The green is Revel Aqua Color DunkelGrun 68.

I didn't Say a thing... I'm sorted now with such concerns. My Spitfire Expert helped me.

I'll have you know i mixed my OWN paint today ! and I too will paint my exhausts Hu53 and polish them ! no rust on mine you know... lol
