Hi Thomas,
Sorry i've been caught up in all the rubbishy life things recently.
Hopefully get back into plastic this week.
As for a version, I'll just go for the 72nd scale version.
Looking forward to it. _________________ Regards Paddy

Hi Thomas,
Sorry about the disappearing trick.
A lot of family illness' recently.
Still plan on bringing this GB in on time, although I won't get started until August as I'm off on hols soon for two weeks.
Your patience is much appreciated. _________________ Regards Paddy

| Both the 72nd kits go together simply and quickly - you should be fine. Just don't choose a too-complex colour scheme! |

Hi everyone,
Called into my LMS today and picked up a 72nd scale FW190.
Will get the usual sprue shots etc on here tomorrow as well as any progress shots.
I never do Luftwaffe schemes so I'm not that well up on colours etc. I'm planning on using whatever it says on the box or at least as close as I can mix it! My apologies in advance for any inaccuracies _________________ Regards Paddy

The Sprue shots, boxart etc.
Finally broke the seal today. Only got a little paint on the pilot, not really worth photographing yet. But at least I'm up and running, well strolling anyway.
I Hope to get finished by Tuesday or wednesday at the latest. _________________ Regards Paddy

Yesterdays progress:
Due to time constraints, I decided to build the aircraft with wheels up, as I have a spare Airfix stand lying about. The fit was actually quite good. A little filler was added to the underside joints as well as the top of the fuselage.
The pilot was finished fairly quickly as not a lot will be seen on the finished kit. After painting he was given a dark wash and a quick drybrush.
I am off work today, so hopefully I'll get a good run at sanding and painting. Unfortunately, my original schedule was shot to bits, so I'll probably have to finish this next week as I'm off to London tomorrow for a family wedding. I guess worse things happen at sea! _________________ Regards Paddy

Got all the sanding finished and sprayed the grey/blue colour. When it was dry I decided to hand brush the dark green using hu116. Unfortunately my brush technique leaves a lot to be desired and I have recoated the whole kit with my grey/blue mixture.
This is obviously why we shouldn't rush as it just takes more time
I will get back to this next week, and take more time.
After doing a little research into RLM colours, I was thinking of using the hu116 as before and also hu78 for the splinter camo.
Any advice to the contrary is most welcome.
Thanks _________________ Regards Paddy
