Ill forgo the sprue shots as Rich as allready done this in his thread.
However I'll kick off with a box top.
My kit is from the second hand shelf and has had some work done. Mainly painting. Rather than strip it back I'll be going over the origional work. |

How's it going Heinkel? Are you overpainting or did you resort to stripping back?

The work done previously;
I opted for over painting. I hope to make serious inroads this weekend |

Commenced with giving the interior a coat of Model Master zinc chromate green. Next was to the do some work on the crew, I'll discard two of the kit supplied figures with some from the spares box.
Crew will be Hu72 for the flight suits, Hu10 for the jackets, Hu24 for the life vests, Hu98 for the flying helmets, Hu61 for the face and the Hu33 for the boots, gloves and goggles.
Assembled the cockpit floor and added the seats and control coloumn, also painted the bomb racks Hu56 and glued in place. Some filling will be needed for the locating holes for the bombracks and then a touch up of the paint work.
While waiting for the Hu10 to dry on the aircrew, painted and assembled the undercart. Tyres were Revel 9 with Oleo legs and struts Hu56.
Glued finished assemblies into lower wing halves.

Having completed the wings (sans engines) they were joined to the fuselage halves. In both cases there was a need for a small amount of putty.
While that was drying returned to the interior
Having finished the crew glued them in place. Note as I was using substitute crew I needed to lower the dorsal gunner’s seat by 2mm.
Once dry the fuselage halves were joined with the need for a few clamps to hold it all in place;
Now will need to leave this to well and truly set.
As I'm doing this as a Swedish Bomber I'll be replacing the British 500lb bombs with American ones from the spares box;
These will need some cleaning up and definitely a new coat of paint. |

Added tail assembly and tail wheel. Engines on, had difficulty here and needed to ream out the inside of the cowlings to get them to fit over the nacelles.
Next step will be a coat of grey underneath. |

Tamiya Acrylic grey undersides. I opted for bombay doors closed as the US 500 lbs did not fit.

Painted the topsides Tamiya XF-16 Deep green and scrounged some national insignia from the Airfix DH Mosquito XIX J30
The codes are from DECADRY sheets
Almost done, just need to reglue a broken prop blade, some touch up of the paint work and the landing lights. |

Very smart indeed!
I'm almost tempted to try a Russian operated Hampden now.....I was amazed to learn theat the new Valom kit has no bomb-bay, so I think I would still prefer the old Airfix kit.
All the best

I've looked longingly at the Valom Hampden, however the Airfix issue was most enjoyable to build.
Talking of which now finished! Added a DF loop from the spares box (of a Catalina I think).
And as usual I'll put the rest in the gallery.
Thanks to Dan for GB leading this one, lots of good subjects its been fun following everybody’s builds.
Still one more to go. |

Great model, it looks good in those colours and with the Swedish crowns.
Best
