I'm intrigued that the Saturn V is listed as having additional parts/modified tool. I'm hoping that the skinny Block 1 Command and Service module (CSM) is being replaced by the correct diameter Block 2 CSM. If so, I will definitely be getting this.

I'm guessing the One Small Step for Man... gift set is the 1/72 Lunar Module.

Is the 1/24 Mosquito a deliberate omission Steven  :?:

It was programmed for 2008 so won't appear on the 2009 list.

Hurricane IIc/d is interesting - but IIRC the IId had the same wing as the MkIIb, with the trapezoidal gun access panel, rather than the square access panels of the MkIIc and MkIV (though Airfix's old MkI/IIb/IV 02042 has the right panel lines for the IId but not the IV)...

so I'd be interested to see how they work that one out - separate wings perhaps?

Hi XN923

that crossed my mind too- though i wasn't 100% sure if the wing panels were different.  Could be a case of fill'n'scribe!

will put up with it as long as all else is close to accurate
oh and some good detailing in the office

Ratch, I didn't include the 1/24 Mosquito as that wasn't included in Airfix's official list. I didn't think to add it to the list, but as Airfix also listed the two new 1/72 Hawks and Spitfire Mk.IXc, previously announced in 2008, I've updated the list to also include the 1/24 Mosquito, along with the 1/48 TSR-2, which havn't been released yet. I've also added the club kits.

Perhaps because Revell have withdrawn their kit at around 2006, which apparently sold next to not at all in Germany. The remaining stock was sold for 6 € each. I bought some half dozend, and I think Revell's will be much superior unless Airfix do a nearly complete retool. After all, the basic kit has its 40th ann. this year.

But with the IIc wings (and an armoured radiator), it would make up into a nice Vickers-armed IV, of which there were a number, IIRC ? Let's see if they include it (the radiator). Maybe they will achieve a good IV on their 3rd attempt...

Add to the list the 1.72 'Golden Hind' that will be available as a giftset.

Cheers!

True. Let's hope they notice before developing the colour schemes (tenner says BP188 will be one!!)

BTW what was the second attempt?

The new catalogue illustrates the excellent new box art for the F27.
