Day 1 and I've started (almost a record for me) I'll be building a Hind D strictly OOB. There are two versions offered my choice was the The Czechslovakian Air Force

There is a small amount of flash around the wheels and some ejector marks on the seats. The rest of the mouldings are fairly crisp. Began by dipping the canopy  in future (Australian version of  Klear) and searching the spares box for for two pilots for the cockpit. Next was painting the insides Hu33. Looking at the sprues on the inside of the fuselage it says CPG Products Corp 1984.

I'm doing this strickly OOB.

Have now painted the interior  Hu33 with seats Hu27 as per the instructions.

A touch up with the Hu33 and the Cockpit assembled

Joining the cockpit halves require some trimming of the fuselage sides and a need for clamps to hold the halves togethor.

While looking over the model taking note of the main undercart I gained the impression that there was the risk that this model could be a tail sitter so I added about 10g of ballast. For weights I use steel shot used in weighting artists bears. All held in place using white glue

About the only flash on the all the sprues was around the wheels.

While all of the above is drying I mabe a start on the exhausts. These had significant gaps in the joins requirng an application of green stuff.

Thats it for now.

I would suggest a materials or craft shop. I get mine from a shop called "Bear Essence", they specialise in materials for making teddy bears, stuffed toys etc.  Try gooling Artists bears supplies.  Cost wise its around $5.00 Aus for 500gm or $2.00 for 150 gm.

Main fuselage now joined.

Nose fitted.

The fit of the fairing around the nose gun leaves a bit to be desired.

Thats about all for now.

Ayup Bruce...

Ted Taylor sells shotgun shot in 200grm tubs.

Try a PM on Britmodeller.... or his website...

...Or spend a great evening taking shotgun shells apart... Isn't that a popular pastime in Canadia?

Finished, I did not use the decals supplied for the tail rotor as they were a little short.

The rest I'll post in the GB Gallery.

Thanks Paula for heading up the GB. It was enjoyable and just keeping up with all the the other builds has been a bit of a task.
