Had to dig the model out from the very bottom of one of my piles, ( I think there is some sort of innuendo there but just can,t place my finger on it) . Anyway nothing toppled, and the boxes are still defying gravity.
And just to remind you I will be doing the Boscombe Down version.

Well I hope to start sometime over the weekend, grandson sitting prevents me from starting tonight.
So the usual pictures are below.

Bit disappointed with the split cockpit glazing, but there's nothing like a challenge.

Well bit of a late start, but up and running now.
First things first, connect the  MP3 player to the computers speakers (got to have music.)
Started by looking at the split canopy, bit of an experiment here, I have decided to fit the two halves together with Clearfix, and then dip them a couple times in Klear.

I hope by doing this it will form a skin and so act like a single glazing piece. It did not help that the two parts are of different thickness.

I Have also decided to keep the rivet detail, but not as pronounced so I knocked it back with wet and dry paper.

The port side of the fuselage had a higher rivet detail than the starboard, so took longer to sand down. I checked the amount of detail I needed by feel. It also means I do not need to rescribe any panel lines so saving a bit of time I hope.

Hey grahameo,

How's the Belvedere coming along?

Have you made any more progress yet?

Well Progress has been slow for me on this build, First a terminal failure of my computer then some sort of bug hit the family and laid me low for over two weeks, could not do anything not even repairing the PC till now, could not stand or sit up without feeling very dizzy and nauseous. But everything is fine now and I have started on the model again.
I have had to ditch the experiment with the canopy due to the two halves being of different sizes, one side was thicker and slightly higher than the other, so I have epoxied them together and scraped and sanded them to fit. Now I have to polish it up.
After that I will join the fuselage halves together.
