Have fun, Ian. I'm in the process of carving a Me 262B-2 canopy "female" ready for smash-moulding. _________________ “The farther backward you can look, the farther forward you are likely to see.” Winston Churchill |

I've dug the kit out of the stash and begun work.
I thought one close to the age of the article was appropriate:
I'll only post pictures once surgery begins on the fuselage. At the moment I'm just putting together everything else. |

| I have one (or 2) in the stash - never got around to building it. Maybe its time to find it in the pile of to-do kits. Will definitely be following this thread closely. |

Still no-go on the balsa front, but work has begun on the fuselage.
I've removed the nose, tail and dorsal turret appendages and filled in some of the windows.
Next will be putting in the five windows over the rear wing. Some of those in the kit are in the correct place, but I'm considering inserting a piece of clear plasticard into the sides and the painting it leaving the appertures bare.
This will be easier than drilling out new ones.

My balsa has arrived. It's a nice chunky 3x2x18" block, and I've used very little for what I need.
Great fun, and just the tail fairing to do before we get out the talc and dope. |

Work is coming along well. Dope and talc has been applied, rubbed down, and primed.
Not sure the best way to go about making the nose transparency though |
