Hi all!

Firstly thanks to all who have submitted box art images over the past couple of years that are now in the History Section. Off the top of my head I'd like to thank 'Loll', 'The Flying Winger', 'Tempestfan', 'John Warren', 'BACTSR2', 'f4h1phantom', 'Wildesau', 'Modelsforsale' and anyone else I may have forgotton.

There are around 1300 Airfix kits that have been produced from 1949 to 2009 and we have at least one image of most of these kits. There are images of different box styles that we are outstanding and if anyone spots a box art we're missing then let me know.

I've spent the last couple of months updating the images, but now we are down to the last 172 kits that at the moment we don't have any images for. We seem to be short in particular of early playsets, 'MPC' and 'Heller' car re-boxings from the 1980's and 1990's, and TV/Film items. There are also a number of images of not so rare kits but for some reason we don't have them.

I've added a few more of the images posted in this thread and done a bit of deleting to tidy things up.

So we are now down to the last 180. most of which are the car kits of the 1980's/90's.

Keep the pictures comming but for now I really only want the images of the missing kits in the list at the top of the thread.

They were cobbled together in a rush, featuring the standard decals - an attempt to cash in on the war without putting in any effort apart from the sleeve. There was also one set featuring the Bucc and one or two other kits, plus a heli set with IIRC the Puma, Lynx 3 and possibly Sea King. They were on sale rather briefly, I remember havin seen the sets in the UK, must have been either on my first ever visit to London in the summer of '91, or around IAT-time in '93 (but then at the time the war was long over - so '91 is more likely). As sets they are pretty rare these days.

I bought the one with the Buccaneer and Jaguar back in '91, Still have the kits in the stash but got rid of the sleeve years ago. Maybe I should've kept it.

Can you imagine what the Iraqi boxed set might look like.....A vac-formed crater and several empty boxes for Mig-29s and Mirage 2000s!

In the bottom r/h corner on the back of packaging it has a number 4900. Otherwise just the individual kit numbers.
