|
|
This is a poll to vote for the aircraft to be built in the next single subject GB. This is open to any Airfix kit, of any scale so long as it is of the subject voted for. The kit may be built OOB or with aftermarket decals and accessories, conversions are permitted.
These are the subjects suggested.
SEPECAT Jaguar.
Me109.
Fairey Swordfish.
He111.
Douglas Devastator.
BAe Nimrod.
T6 Texan/Harvard.
BP Defiant.
BAC Lightning.
Me110.
Hopefully there is a mix there that will appeal to everyone, from stringbags to big jets, WW2 to modern(ish).
The poll will run for 7 days, if there is no clear winner a second round of voting will take place.

Would love to do a jaguar as i have never had one before and i love it (c.f. relevant thread!)
there are others i would love but think the Nimrod might be too many pennies
haven't any of those by Airfix! and it was either a VERY long time ago since i had one or never at all |

Lightning for me. Got a nice Xtradecal sheet for an F3 of 56 Squadron in NMF with a red spine and a red and white check tail. _________________ 60% of the time it works every time.

Looks like the Devastator is the winner by a clear margin. I'll set up the necessary usergroup and start poll shortly.
For those disappointed that the Lightning or Jaguar didn't win, these two are eligible to be built as part of the Cold War Jets GB which starts in about a weeks time .

Although I voted for the Lightning I do have a Devastator I bought earlier this year. I may build the Lightning for the Cold War Jets GB. _________________ So many kits, so little time |

A couple of Devastators have now been pulled from the depths of the stash, plan to do one in each of the colour options.

Just an observation, it looks like 7 or 8 people will be building Devastators, 15 or 16 won't.
How about a parallel GB for the runners up?

sounds okay to me if it is in the spirit of things as i doubt i will be buying a Devastator just for the GB- it isn't sour grapes- honest.
although having checked this out
http://www.fortunecity.com/meltin...971/Reviews/usaaf/tbd-1-devas.htm
i might be tempted- is it in current production as the search engine on the airfix site refused to acknowledge my spelling
i don't mind waiting if i have to for the devastator build to finish before the next single subject GB if that is preferable |
