Hi,

Began modelling in my youth at the tender age of about 8.  Left it for a while at the age of about 17, only to recommence again at about 21/22 whilst part of the RAF.  Over the years I drifted in and out of modelling, building an odd one or two aircraft. Some of which will appear below.  Now having reached 50, it was only after a chance viewing of a DVD on the Spitfire bought by my missus for Xmas 2008 where I sort of got bitten by the bug again and finished off an Airfix Spitfire that had been started about 3 Xmas's ago.  Since then I have started to build models again seriously.  My tastes are varied and not confined to Aircraft.  Items waiting to be built include some James Bond models, Dr Who plus the usual aircraft and military vehicles.  Hope you like those built so far.

regards

Steve

But I've only just started putting it together over the last few weeks
Ditched my original stash when I lost the 'bug' for modelling a few years back.

Nice selection of models.

How do you rate that Hasegawa Lightning you've got in your stash?

Komet,

Not had a good look at it however from what I've seen it looks better than the airfix F3.  Detailing are raised panel lines as opposed to engraved, however they are finely done.  The auxillary intake doors are non existant as they are represented by two small indents and are not flush as they should be on a static lightning. Should give a fair represenation of an F6 though.  Is it not the Frog molding?

Very nice builds with good variety of subjects. Really like the camo on the DUKW.  :thumb:

Andy (DH764),
That scheme was used in the eighties for low flying identification during training.  Several colours were used including blue, black and I think white. I believe it all came about due to a collision at low level.
