It has become obvious to me that there has been a deterioration in the quality of posts being made on this forum recently with many in direct conflict with the Forum Rules. This includes:

- using text speak
- using bad language
- disguising of profanities by the use of asterisks or other characters
- using inflammatory language
- making cross-posts and double-posting
- giving posts within an existing thread a different title
- making off-topic posts
- hijacking threads
- breaching copyright rules
- making adverse comments about other sites (especially models)

There is also an increasing lack of punctuation, poor spelling and bad grammar in posts. Although this is not a serious breach of forum rules, it is still sad to see. If you do have problems with spelling etc. then use a spell-checker. Correct spelling not only looks right but it helps when searching for topics using the search facility. After all, if you incorrectly spell "Bismarck" as "Bismark" then nobody will ever find your post if they use the search facility with the correct spelling! Talking of the search facility, it is not being used properly before posts are being made. As a consequence we are seeing some threads on the same subject appearing again and again!

So please, can we think about what we are writing before we make our posts? Not just from the point of view of spelling etc. but consider also the possible consequences of your posts.

Dave
