Approaching the top of my 'To Build' pile are a few early war, panzergrau, softskins. However, there seems to be no consensus on which colour the fabric tilts should be, the various colour call-outs varying between Earth, Black, Green, and even Blue-Grey. Searching online doesn't give any more definitive information either. Does any one here have any more information? Indeed, was there a standard colour for Wehrmacht vehicle tilts?

cheers,
Robin.

Have you had a look through this site?: http://ww2colorfarbe.blogspot.co.nz/sea ... an%20Truck
I think some are original colour photos.

Thanks for the link, most interesting. It also confirms my research. From what I've been able to find out, the fabric used on Wehrmacht vehicles was paintable, and Orders were to paint the fabric to match the rest of the vehicle. However, as this was to be done at unit and depot level, it wasn't always done. Of course by the end of the War, it was a case of use whatever was available . . .
So, with this in mind, I will be going with the call-outs on the instruction sheets.

cheers,
Robin.
