Hi, thank you Ratch!
I'm building the Hawker Harrier GR3 (A02072) kit.
Still at early stages yet, the fuselage and wings tops and bottoms are together and hopefully i'll be fixing the wings in place this evening.
I'm thinking it's going to be a bit of a fiddle getting the anhedral right on the wings! It's all taped in position okay at the moment, but any hints on getting the anhedral right would be gratefully received, as I'm very much a newbie...

You've probably hit on the right approach with what you're doing Of course this may result in a bit of filling at the wing roots _________________ and was Jerusalem, builded here

thomasweir: thanks for the welcome, btw! It's good to be able to tag onto this GB, although it does feel like everyone's left already!
GR.3 Ready for painting:
Sorry for the poor photo... I really need to use the tripod to get a decent depth of field in the poor light. |

Almost done painting:
Went crossed-eyed doing the spiraled camou It was probably a mistake glueing the ordnance on first...
Am I the only one who knocks off most of the small sticky-out bits whilst painting? (landing gear, pitot tubes, .... wings, etc) |

I used to knock the little bits off and damage the under carriage but unless its a wraparound scheme I usually leave off the undercarriage.
Probes, ariels , weapons - i paint them on the sprue and add them later.
Same with the canopy's.
If its a big model like the sunderland I'm building for the seaplane GB i'll assemble the wings and fuselage and paint them separate.
looking good though |
