I'm going through the work on my 1300E easily but there is one thing I need. The famous triple coachline

That is pretty much the colour of my model & I thought all the coachlines were white. Turns out these black ones will be the ones I need. Does anyone know if I can source these or will I have to make my own?

Hi Hancockshire,

You can get single black stripes in 1/64 and 1/32nd inch widths from Microscale decals.  Hannants among others  stock them so you shouldn't have too much trouble finding a stockist with them in stock.

David.

Thanks. There is a problem. There are no modelling stores in my area for at least ninety miles. I only got my Escort because it was in my local art shop. I have an idea I'm going to try out but I'm not sure if it'll work. It's to use a gel pen that I know is water resistant to make it. It may be a bit thick but I suppose the coachlines were too. If that doesn't work, I'll use your suggestion. Cheers

Hannants do free postage on decals if it meets a certain price - about £6 [but don't quote me there.]

Fantasy Printshop also do ready lines and sheets of solid colours for cutting ones own designs from. Mail order is available from them too.

Ok thanks. I don't have any money at the moment (saving up for the new Doctor who Leela figure by underground toys/forbidden planet). I've also found a permanent marker & my coachlines look ok. May need a tad more work to get them looking awesome though
