I thought to get me out of the AMS that I'm getting with my Revell 1:48 Marauder I thought I'd drop down a few scales and do a simple kit like the Minicraft 1:144 Marauder
The kit has relativly few parts and looks quite simple but with a little refinement should build into a nice model. Sadly there is only one colour option but the decals are nicely printed as well (printed Cartograf) ovrall not bad for £3.99
Here is my tiny Minicraft Kit shown next to my 1:48 Revell Kit for size I've glued the wings and engine nacelles together and painted the fuselage interior black as there is no interior detail |

I've only spent about 20 mins on this kit in total so far but I managed to get a complete airframe. I cut the solid nose open because I think it will look better like this. Very little filler will be needed for this one, I've given it a quick coat of primer as it is difficult to see where the join needs sanding with the silver plastic |

Hi Happy New Year everyone,
I've had a few personal problems recently which has meant model making has been the last thing on my mind for the last month or so so sadly I have made little progress with this model.
I'm going to crack on with it now though so should hopefully have some progress to report soon |

Good to hear your still around Mark!
Don't worry about the deadline, the 'Group Builds Plus' section now means you can carry on with the build _________________ Owen

I've managed to get a bit more progress done on my marauder,
I've cut out a couple of the smaller windows in the fuselage side, I've glued the undercarriage doors closed because I plan to build this one in flight. I'll be sanding the join lines tonight and hopefully I can have it painted by the weekend. I might run over the deadline a little though. |

Good to hear you've made some progress. With two days left, do you think you'll be able to finish in time? _________________ Owen

| I've made more progress with it, I've just about finished the sanding so I can start painting, I've also made a base for it. Sadly I don't seem to have had as much modelling time as I would have liked tis week so I'll run over the deadline this time I think but I'll do my best to get it done as soon as I can. |

I don't seem to have done a lot of modelling since Christmas and have thrown myself into the Viggen Group build as I'd like to get that finished on time. So progress on the Marauder has slowed down a lot
I have made a flying base for it which just needs finishing off. I've started spraying some of the panels white as I'm trying an experiment with this one. First I'm going to paint panels white, grey and black. I will then spray Alclad over the top and see if it brings the panels up different shades of metal

I'm looking forward to seeing the results once the Aclad has been applied.

Thanks Dave, It should look nice when the alclad goes on
While I was doing some spraying on my Viggen I also did the OD Anti Glare Panel on the nose.
As I'm having this aircraft flying I decided to cut some discs out of clear plastic to simulate the spinning prop blades then I had an idea...
I want to create the art work below I produced as a decal then apply it to the disc. In theory it would could look convincing in this scale. There's only one way to find out as well.
