I have just announced that I will be leading an Airfix E-Boat Group Build from 15th October which will run for two months. See this thread for more details.

We currently have plans for Group Builds on:
RNLI Lifeboat - June
RAF Rescue Launch - September
Vosper MTB - December
and no doubt the Falklands GB will have some ships built too.
We could have more - if enough people are interested. I wouldn't mind HMS Suffolk, HMS Belfast or a Narvik Class Destroyer.

How about an Ajax or Forestal GB? I have both of those _________________ Owen

I didn't choose either of those as they seem to have been built very recently by other members. Anyway, I do not have Forrestal in my stash.
We could always have a liner GB...

I don't have any battleships or cruisers that I wish to part of a Group Build anyway.
I would like to build a destroyer or two though.

You may remember my nautical "Boss Builds" planned for this year - RNLI Lifeboat in June and RAF Rescue Launch in September. Well, I have swapped these around and the RAF Rescue Launch Group Build will take place on 1st June.
If you wish to take part, then please sign up using the Usergroups link (Group Build Participants - RAF Launch). The relevant "chat" thread is here.

Remember, we are back to Airfix-only GBs and so we are limited to HMS Victorious, HMS Ark Royal and USS Forrestal and not all of those are in production.

man airfix had a lot to do with the money problems :/ no wonder they had to sell off in the end.
well lets hope Hornby start spreading the choice on other models other than aircraft.
well out of the above the arkroyal may be a good GB!! _________________ ACHTUNG-MOSQUITO

I have Victorious, but I really bought that to convert it back to it's configuration of the Bismarck Hunt and I haven't even started to research that yet _________________ and was Jerusalem, builded here

I tell you what, Ratch, that is one hell of a conversion. It would be almost as difficult as what the real thing went through when she was cut down to just above the waterline stem to stern as seen here and given an angled flight deck. You would be better off buying one that was already at the WW2 configuration, unless you really want to use the Airfix one.
