Still awaiting on the decals. So began by studying the instructions and of course taking the obligatory sprue shots. Still having some technical difficulties upload photos.
On studying the instructions and checking over the kit, which has been in the stash for around 30 years, I discovered a part missing. Lucklily it is one half of the tailplane which can be replaced by using plasic card. The other dissapointment was the transparencies for the cabin windows have airbubbles, I'll need to use clearfix. The rest of the kit is clean with little flash and nicley detailed. First job will be the replacement tailpane and drilling out the cabin floor locating holes for the seats. I'm a little short on references for the colours on the interior. The Instructions suggest light grey floor and blue seats with silver supports. More reserach needed.

Post shots as soon as I can, cheers.

This was the colour scheme I used for the interior. Pretty much as box instructions but I painted on some white headrest covers just to brighten it up a bit.
Most of this is unseen once built, which is why I didn't bother filling the ejector pin marks in the seats.

Cheers.

Thanks BAC, just had a conversation with a mate whom was a Patrol Officer in PNG, he suggested that I should leave out the double row of seats and replace them with a couple of tethered pigs and a stack of chickens in crates, or a simple open box for the pigs and some big crates of mining equipment. He was of the impression (memory) that the often flew fairly stripped out interior wise carrying more often cargo than passengers. As such the interior was fairly nondescript, suggested an aluminimum floor. Since the GB theme is Airfix airliners I'll settle for the scheme you adopted.

Some progress, still waiting on the transfers but have completed the interior up to the stage (but not the same quailty) as shown in BAC's post.
I have also made a start on the wings as subassemblies. I'll post some shots. Having some slight concern about the delay in getting the transfers.

Whoops have I forgotten something? Apologies to Adrian.

Transfers did arrive just after I left on a six week break. The decals are for a Papuan Air Sky Van.

Returning to the model I continued with the wing sub-assemblies on the left I have attached the flaps, ailerons and also the actuators.

I also began painting the fuselage Hu130.

Making progress. The interior is now complete and the weigth added under the front seat.

Once the fuselage sides are on I'll paint and apply the fuselage decals before fitting the wings.

Those pilots look good do they come with the kit
You could get some seated railway figures for passengers too

Yes the pilots do come with the kit. I've hunted for some passengers but to no avail. As it turns out just as well once the fuselage comes together there is not much to be seen of the interior.
Talking of putting the fuselage together, that's where I reached for this shot.

Now applied a coat of Hu130, masked off and started the Hu64 underside.

I'm feeling very sheepish still not finished. However the three ton budgie is back on the work bench. Redoing the white (Hu130) and cleaning up the blue cheat line.

I shouldn't worry about it - I was GB leader and mine is still sitting in a box on top of my wardrobe

Undercarriage added, and before fitting the wings decided to fit the fuselage decals. Alas despite adding a substantial quantity of weight in the nose I have a tail sitter

Wings added, sorry about the poor photo. Now painting over the white with Hu130. A final coat of gloss coat will be applied once the model is finished

Next steps will be mask and paint the canopy and the rest of the decals.
