Here’s a slightly unusual one from Imai. I picked it up cheap so I thought I would give it a go. I think it would have fared better being photographed on a dark background. Joints are a problem with this one as filling is out. I did think about partially painting the surface green for TB2 with a cut-out line, but I felt that would obscure too much of the internal detail.

I've seen these versions on Ebay and they're quite expensive now. I do love the fact that you can see the interior and all the mechanical parts

This is my Imai Thunderbird 2 launch diorama, incorporating an Airfix Pontoon bridge :)
I scratch built a cockpit but you can't see anythign through the clearfix I used for the drilled out windows :( I also added flickering LEDs to the engines and to the exhaust vent in the runway to simulate the flames
