The kit we've been waiting 40 years for!!! This arrived at my house in early January a pre-order from the USA so I had to build it immediately! I used Alclad on the engine bells (I'm not paying £140 for aluminium ones!!!) and added a red LED in the cockpit, powered by a 3v coin battery hidden in the forward walkway.

Great build, you could add a space background, and have them flying in formation.

Super looking Eagle, Alan Carter would be proud. I loved this TV show when I was a little lad. :thumb:

Since posting this last year I've built two more - yes I guess you caould call me a fan of the Space:1999 Eagle, even though I can't bear to watch the TV series now I've grown up - er older and developed some critical faculties that tell me how bad the acting and writing is on the show :)

Models are excellent however! Anyway, last year I built a second Eagle Transporter, finishing it with the red stripes of the Emergency Eagle, and adding more lights, so that not only is the cockpit illuminated, but the leg pods have white landing lights on the front 2 and red/green flashing Nav lights on the rear two. I was blown away when it won Gold at Telford last year!

Congratulations, on your well earned win. It would be interesting to watch, the 2 seasons of "Space 1999", just to see how many Eagles they lose, (like in Star Trek Voyager), as they seemed to have an inexhaustible supply of them.
