I was just browsing some old threads and I've noticed two names have not come up recently;
Feanor and Telegaph Dave.
Just wondering whats happened to them. [rhetorical question].
Its like club members not turning up for a while, or when the venue or date changes for the club meeting.

Mods: I apologise, and plead ignorance, if there is a special reason they are no longer here.

Stu (Feanor) asked for his account to be deleted. Telegraph Dave - if you mean Telegraphist he last posted in the middle of December so not long ago.

Yup thats him; thats how I thought of him as I cant spell Telegraphist
Considering he was posting just about every day, somes a few times a day, he's been very quiet.
Thats the down side of an internet community - when someone isn't heard from one doesnt know whats happened to them.

I'm still in touch with the Telegraphist (Dave), he's still recovering from his eye ops but all is going well. He has a new project on the go at the moment which is taking up a lot of his time, setting up his first aquarium. I'm helping him out with a lot of advice as I've worked, studied and lectured on fish for many years and I'm sure he'll be back with the models as soon as he gets the aquarium looking perfect.

Are we allowed to ask why Stu has gone?

and then theres Drew.
I've been in touch occasionally with him. He's been very busy work-wise for the last few months but still gets a tiny bit of modelling done. He says he'll be back on here when he can.

I'm sorry to see some of these chaps not around anymore. I'm especially sad that Stu has pulled the plug on the ATF.

So am I. Stu has often given me a good grin when I was sad. I'll wish him all the best.

Very sorry to hear that - I got on well with Stu and he did all that detailed figure work for the AB41 diorama (now at Bovvy :D) which was much appreciated.......

I'm sorry to hear that Stu has asked for his account to be deleted. :(

It does sound rather final and drastic, a sort of digital suicide.

I don't know what is going on with Feanor but it seems he has also dropped off the cliff on Linkedin.

He's still active on Facebook(just). He's ignored messages I've left via different sources - phone, txt, social media etc etc. I too have not spoken too him - but not for my lack of trying.

I am on numerous forums and even moderate one or two; my experience is that people will drop off forums from time to time and then come back; sometimes we simply run out things to say!

I am still here, just not been active, Eyes are still not quite 100% yet for focusing at the critical range where you can see clearly close up. I am touched that others have missed my presence, , I do hope to be more active very soon, eyes are nearly healed, was told 3 months roughly to have full sight, so only been since end November so I am too eager and impatient to get on.
Dave.

Sometimes things simply get too hectic. Sometimes interests change. People drop out for a while and do or don't reappear :-)

The name from the past I wish I knew a finale from is Loll. No mystery over what happened but it would have been nice to have known when and to have heard a farewell from someone in 'real life' contact with him. He was a remarkable bloke as far as I could tell from this Forum.
