Model Alliance Decals. H.S. Nimrod MR.1 / MR.2 / MR.2P Part II. Sheet No. MA-72159.

This sheet contains markings for 7 aircraft.
H.S. Nimrod XV148 Royal Aircraft Establishment, Bedford, UK, October 1979. In Light aircraft grey and white with signal red tail and wing tips.

MR.2 XV229/29 No.42 Sqd RAF, Fincastle Trophy, South Australia 1984. In hemp/light aircraft grey.

MR.2P XV232/32 No.201 Sqn RAF, Wideawake airfield, Ascension Island October 1987. Hemp/light aircraft grey.

MR.2P XV228/28 No.201 Sqn RAF, Kinloss, UK, 1993. Matt Beige/light aircraft grey.

MR.2P XV252/52 No.201 Sqn RAF Kinloss 1998. Matt Beige/light aircraft grey.

H.S. Nimrod XV250/50 No.201 Sqn RAF, Kinloss, 1977. Gloss light aircraft grey/white.

H.S. Nimrod XV254/54 No.42 Sqn RAF, Kinloss, 1977. Gloss light aircraft grey/white.

(Low resolution - not for printing).

The sheets are printed by Cartograph and are truly excellent in register and colour saturation and density. The instructions are comprehensive giving several views of each aircraft and the paint call-outs have the relevent colour standards quoted.

This is a limited edition print, which was available direct from the Aviation Workshop Publications Ltd and some other online retailers. I got mine from Ali of A2Zee on pre-order, I can recommend his service. Definitely worth getting if you are interested in any of the aircraft depicted, or fancy a different scheme to those provided in the kit. My favourite is the RAE scheme.

"I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I watched C-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhauser gate. All those moments will be lost in time... like tears in rain... Time to die."
