I felt I was lagging behind seing as George has nearly finished his second build so I'v decided to start on my 1/72 Mossie whilst I get the stuff together for the Douglas Boston.
I'm a slow builder but will post my progress regulary.
Box Shot.

First job is to cut the nose off which Airfix have moulded in cut lines so it's a pretty straight forward job.
I'v dry fitted the replacment and it's a really good fit.
Painting is nearly finished on the interiour and I'll post some more pics of what I'v done so far tommorrow. _________________ Cheers Glyn. |

Good start Minty, & there's no pressure to keep up with me, you've got until June! It really doesn;t matter if you don't finish until the last week _________________ --.. --- -. . / -.-. .- .-.. .-.. / .-- --- --- -.. |

Finally pulled my finger out on this one.
Building is finished and with the advice about the under carridge problems in Danials build thread everything went together easily.
It's now on with the paint,I'v given it a coat of Tamiya XF-19 and next up will be the Humbrol 30 acrylic.
I was tempted to do it all over black as I have a couple of pictures of Mossies in that scheme but wanted the practice at airbrushing camo on aircraft.
I will post my progress as the painting continues..... _________________ Cheers Glyn. |

Finished the painting at last.
I used Tamiya X 19 and Humbrol 30.The details are now all painted and I'v just given it a couple of coats of Klear ready for the decals.
I'v not had much luck with Airfix decals recently so I'm not looking forward to this one but will try my best later and post pictures of the results. _________________ Cheers Glyn. |

Well finally got this one finished, had very little trouble although the decals were a bit of a pain.
I also had a nightmere with the matt finish as I used Tamiya's matting agent with Klear, something I'v been doing for ages on my armour build's but for some reason this one came out looking like it has been caught in a rain storm whilst the paint was still wet never mind lesson learnt.

Very nice Glyn, but before you put it down, shouldn't it have an aerial mast _________________ and was Jerusalem, builded here

Yeah I noticed I'd missed that off before I took the pictures but forgot all about it. I'll fix it once I find it amongst the spares box. _________________ Cheers Glyn. |
