Hurricane MkIIC from the BBMF giftset, finished as Karel Kuttelwascher's BE 581 'Night Reaper'.

First steps. This will be mostly OOB with a few little tweaks - i.e. cockpit, where I've added foot boards and some rod to hint at the internal tubular structure, and an Aeroclub control column.

Have also done the radiator bath, with little bits of organza (from a bag used to contain party favours at a wedding) glued to the face and painted to represent the face of the rad - wondering what to do about the circular oil cooler...

Wings assembled and cannon removed - I'll be using Quickboost's barrels.

Quickboost prop, with tool to ensure correct alignment and pitch.

Starting to look a bit more Hurricane-shaped...

Ferry tanks left over from a Revell kit...

Ayup 923...

Very nice indeed. The red codes really make it stand out well...

Great build. I like the soft edge to the camouflage.

Inspired by the multiple builds of Hewman100 and AFCBGeorge I have decided to chuck together a second build - this will be a Grumman Hellcat NF MkII using the F6F from the VJ Day set and the ASH radar pod left over from a Revell F4U-5.
