Hi all,

I've been reading through a fair few of the work in progress threads and have seen some superbly painted cockpits, but all pics are of the completed job. If anyone has the time and inclination I'd really love to see a step-by-step guide showing how you do yours, with as much detail as possible, particularly with regard to washes and weathering. I'm still working through my first kit in years and although I have a good accuracy with the paintbrush I have yet to attempt anything of that nature and would like to skip as much of the making mistakes part of the learning curve as I can! I plan to stick with 1/48 kits but I'll be happy with whatever you are inclined to offer :)

This post comes with the usual apologies if there's a glaringly obvious thread on the topic already, I *have* been reading through a substantial number of ATF discussions, so it isn't laziness I assure you :D

Cheers
Matt

What type of cockpit?
A WW1 type is treated differently to a WW2 fighter, which is different to a modern age jet. Bombers of all eras are again treated differently

Its not just how good your painting is, its how good the touch-ups are too.

Oops, should've mentioned that :)

WW2, I'm mainly focussed on single engined aircraft at this point although my better half just bought me a Mosquito as she approves of me being quiet in the spare room of an evening.
