Already built one of them, with the memorial scheme... Pretty darn good kit. Some panel lines needed a bit of clean-up, but nothing major. I'll definitely do the Fulmar... Went downtown to pick another one up, but the Sea King available didn't have any RN decals and the Lynx had everything printed out of register. If I can find another decal sheet, I'll get one of those. And on the other hand I have decals for a RNAS Sopwith Camel, but no Airfix kit. Dang it.

Yeah I've read Fluff's review and he says it goes together very well.

I think I'll be doing the Historic Flight version for this one as I plan to build my Trumpeter one as an 802 Squadron example.

Sorry for missing the start of the GB, just come off steroids and now I have very little energy, esecially in the mornings.

Since I'm starting to perk up a bit I'll be starting my build next week, but I shall be using the Trumpeter decals to model a Sea Fury from 1831 Squadron.

Thanks guys!! Not quite a steak pie but a Lamb roast with all the trimmings yesterday and I woke up this morning feeling much better.

Didn't get much done today due to the fact I had to get my car serviced and had to have some stiches removed after that, but I have managed to find the decals, open the box and wash the parts ready for building.

I'll stick the pics up with my next post as the light disappeared before I got chance to take a photo.

I started work on this today and I was a little disappointed with the kit once I'd got some parts off the sprues.

While I was separating one of the fuselage havles I accidently snapped it and damaged part of the tail:

I believe that this was due to me not paying full attention, but also due to the fact that the sprue gates are extremely thinck.

Also when I offered the fuselage haves up together there appeared to be evidnce of poor moulding and the outside of the fuselage halves are far from even on the smooth surfaces (lots of dints and things).

Were the colour guide and those decals included in the box or are they the special hobby or trumpeter ones ? I don't remember getting a colour guide and my decals were a lot different in my boxing.

TBH, i would complain to Airfix for such a poor product. online with a coupla pics first, then with a letter. that's terrible !

I haven't done vast amounts on this, but these are the little bits I have done:

Cockpit has been assembled and painted Hu33 as have the side walls:

I've also cemented the cockpit to the sarboard fuselage half, glued the transpaneies for the lights under the wings in place and painted the back of these Hu11 to lok slightly better.

I haven't done too much since the last post but here's where I am;
The fusealge halves have been joind together as has the 3 piece wing and the fuel tanks. Everything has been sanded and cleaned so there are (hopfully) no seam lines. The horzontal tailplanes have been cmented aswell (no pic of this).

After I'm finished here I shall glue the wings to the fuselage and the engine cowling to the fuselage aswell.

Just with some dry fitting I can see I'll need filler on the wing roots but other than there the fit has been good so that will be done tomorrow when all the cement has cured.

Hopefully I'll have some pics of her primed early next week.
