I shall be building a Mk6 of 898 NAS HMS Ark Royal 1957 again using the model alliance Ark Royal decal sheet.
Sprue shots to follow. |

Box and some sprue shots. I was somewhat short of space last night.
The start of some sub assemblies.
Just over an hour later and time for bed.
Using acrylic paints certainly speeds up the process.
It is going to be built in flying mode.
Tonight it will get an undercoat of HU34

It doesn't look as if this will take long. Quick work. _________________ So many kits, so little time |

| Considering the age of the mold there was not much flash and it fits quite well with a bit of sanding here and there |

| The Sea Hawk has had two coats of Acrylic Hu34 painted on. Some areas are a bit lumpy so I'll file those down and most probably put a top coat of Xtracrylic white over the lot. |

Further progress.
The second coat of EDSG.
I got mixed up with the Airfix and the Model alliance painting instructions hence the white instead of Sky.
It took me ages to do the curves out of masking tape so I'll leave it white and use one of the schemes from the airfix boxing.
I bought another 2nd hand Airfix Sea Hawk so that will use the Model A decals.

I have finally completed the Sea Hawk but as my home computer's PSU has gone boom my pictures are on the hard drive so no pictures as yet.
I have'nt been idle though, as I'm building another Sea Hawk in the colours I originally meant to complete the first one in. |

A.W Sea Hawk FGA 6 806 NAS RNAS Brawdy 1959/60
Xtracrylic paints. Varnish to come later.
A Humbrol edition release. The white on the decals is not white enough so the ESDG shows through. I did not have any spares so used the ones which came with the kit.
More pictures in the gallery.
